The 2nd National Cyber Security Month, which began on October 11, is being celebrated at INSA Headquarters with the theme “Joint Responsibility for Cyber Security, Beware, and Be careful”.
Yesterday, the event was being held to provide training to leaders and professionals from communication, media, police commissions and universities from the federal states and city Administrations.
Dr. Anteneh Tesfaye, Director General of INSA, in his opening remarks at the event explained that the security of key information and computer-based infrastructures for the implementation of democratic programs should be ensured.
So far, the world has lost $2.5 trillion by 2020 to cyber-attacks. The media lost $90 million. He added that if this trend continues, it is projected to lose up to $6 trillion in revenue by 2025.
Dr. Anteneh added that when we assess our country’s case, there were various cyber attacks recently, including media outlets such as Walta and EBC
