The Dire Dawa branch of the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority (ECAA) has been temporarily suspended due to a fire that broke out outside the runway.
Tesfaye Shimeles, head of the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority (ECA) Dire Dawa Branch Office stated that the Fire Brigade immediately responded to the incident and said that the flight was temporarily suspended until the incident was brought under control.
Ethiopian Airports Enterprise Dire Dawa Area Manager, Kassahun Tefera, on his part said his company, which always strives for the safety of its customers, has taken immediate action to fix the problem.
The Dire Dawa International Airport General Manager, Yared Tilaye, said the accident was so minor that it was easily controlled and customers were receiving services without any risk.
