The international Togetherness day was celebrated for the 25th time globally and for the 11th time in Ethiopia. As part of the nation, Dire Dawa Administration celebrated the international day colorfully.
Giving opening speech on the ceremony, Head for Dire Dawa Culture and Tourism Office, Ato Murad Bedewi stated that the main objective of the international Togetherness day celebration was to do tasks which re-enhance the century-long social values in Dire Dawa community.
Ato Ahmed Mehamed Buh, Mayor of Dire Dawa Administration, on his part explained that Dire Dawa is known not only by its dwellers but also by entire nation about its century-long social values and co-existence among the community; it is an exemplary of togetherness and harmony. During the celebration, different research papers were presented and Elderlies who have lived and experienced the century-long social values of Dire Dawa community have witnessed their experiences to the gathering.
Including The Mayor and speaker of the Administration, high level Leaders, youths, Artists and invited guests were present during the International Togetherness day celebration.
