The Dire Dawa Administration Youth and Sports Commission is delivering Training for the Youth drawn from Rural and Urban Kebeles as well as for Community and Religious Leaders on Addiction and related Mal practices. The Training is being delivered by Psychology Experts from Dire Dawa University. In its fourth day, Trainees drawn from Biyawale and Wahil cluster are taking the Training. Ato Eskindir Ahmed, Director for Youth Empowerment Directorate in Youth and Sports Commission, briefed that the Training is being given in order to expand the Youth’s socio economic and political Beneficialness from Urban areas to the Rural Dwellers. Ato Eskindir called for the Youth to rehabilitate their selves from Addiction and related Mal practices and be empowered to take responsibility in Tomorrow’s Nation building. During the Blood Donation program donated by the Youth with the motto: “My Blood to my Hero” to the National Defense Force, Ato Eskindir Ahmed emphasized that the Youth should stand with the National Defense Force and keep providing their holistic support. Ato Mesfin Ayele, Youth Empowerment Team Leader in Dire Dawa Administration Youth and Sports Commission, on his part said that the Training is crucial in terms of rehabilitating the Youth from Addictions and related Malpractices as well as creating job opportunities for them. The Trainees who participated in the Training assured that the Training made them see themselves and should be Continual.
