The Dire Dawa Dwellers have provided support for the Defense Force both in cash and kind. Her Excellency w/ro Martha Luwiji State minister of Ministry of Defense, Her Excellency w/ro Worknesh Biru state Minister for Insurance Fund Administration Agency, Dire Dawa Administration Higher Party Leaders, Cabinet members, and Investors as well as Dwellers were available during the reception program. The Reception program was accompanied with a welcome speech by Ato Mebrate Gebreyes, Dire Dawa Prosperity Party Chairman and a Praying of Conscience to memorize the sacrifice of North Command Defense Forces. Ato Mebrate Gebreyes stated that the desperate effort by the Junta to come back to ruling position is quite impossible and the support for the National Defense Force in their Mission to bring Rule of Law will continue in all aspects. Ato Kedir Juhar, Vice Mayor for Dire Dawa Administration, has read a report that shows the total support provided by Dire Dawa Dwellers both in cash and kind. Accordingly, one million seven hundred sixty thousand worth 36 Harar Oxen and 8 Camels as well as two hundred seventy thousand worth 100 Quintal of Quality Flour has been submitted in kind. And, 12 million birr in cash was directly submitted to a Bank Account; 14 million 87 thousand birr from Rural and Urban civil servants, Investors and Dwellers have been submitted. In addition to this, 843 units of Blood has been donated. As per the schedule, the support was provided to the representatives from the Ministry of Defense by the Dire Dawa Administration Higher Officials in Cheque and kind. Receiving the support, Her Excellency w/ro Martha Luwiji State minister of Ministry of Defense has made a closing remark stating her Gratitude for what the Dwellers are doing in support of the Defense Force. The program was ended up with singing the National Anthem.
