It is known that the Dire Dawa administration has received the vaccine for vaccination of 6,000 people. Today, the first round of Covid 19 vaccine is being delivered at Sabian Primary Hospital.
Speaking on the occasion, KedirJuhar, Deputy Mayor of Dire Dawa Administration and Head of the Trade, Industry and Investment Bureau of Dire Dawa Administration, thanked the health workers for their sacrifices in saving the lives of the people during the COVID Pandemic. He also requested the people stand with and cooperate the Health Workers.
The Dire Dawa Health Bureau Head, LemlemBezabeh, said the vaccine will be given to all health professionals working in private and public hospitals and health centers. And also, Elderlies and vulnerable segments of the community will be the next target in the Covid 19 vaccination program as per the amount of vaccine imports, she explained.
According to health experts, the vaccine will help them to protect themselves and serve the community in the protection of Covid 19 disease and to protect themselves from other strains of the virus.
The program was attended by senior government officials and health professionals as well as religious leaders.
