Dire Dawa Administration Women’s and Children’s Affairs Bureau provides clothing and hygiene to members of the Defense Forces on the occasion of Women’s Day.

    Members of the FDRE Defense Force who were injured in the law enforcement operation in the northern part of the country are receiving medical treatment at the Eastern Command Level 3 Hospital in Dire Dawa. On March 8, the Bureau of Women and Children’s Affairs provided uniforms and hygiene supplies to medical personnel on the occasion of Women’s Day.
    Speaking at the event, Dire Dawa Administration Women and Children’s Affairs Bureau Head, Kerima Ali, said this year’s Women’s Day is not only about women’s participation in politics, but also about encouraging women who have reached the highest levels of economic empowerment. According to Kerima, the support has been provided to members of the Defense Forces on the occasion of Women’s Day.
    The Speaker of the Dire Dawa Administration Council, Ms. Fatum Mustafa, said the support will be provided not only by the office but also by the administration.
    Lt. Col. Italem Mekuria, Head of Women’s Affairs at East Command Level 3 Hospital, stated that the support will encourage the members of the Defense Force who were injured in the law enforcement operationand thankedthe Bureau for the support on the occasion of Women’s Day and thanked them for their support.
