A Panel Discussion was held at Dire Dawa University on the occasion of the 6th International Information Access Day, which has been celebrated in Ethiopia for the 4th time under the motto “Right to Know and Better Reconstruction”.
”We all know that access to timely and accurate information plays a key role in maintaining peace and preventing Corona” Dr. Ubah, President of Dire Dawa University, said the theme of this year’s International Information Access Day is based on the special value of access to information, especially in times of crisis.
Ashne Ayele, head of the Dire Dawa branch office of the Ombudsman Institute, said that the issue of access to up-to-date and accurate information is difficult today, but everyone knows the key role of building the country in building up-to-date and accurate information. The office also thanked the Ombudsman Institute, Dire Dawa Administration Health Bureau, and Dire Dawa University for theircontribution.
The Dire Dawa University faculty staffs, government executives and stakeholders participated in the program.
