t has been suggested that Precautions should be taken to treat Dengue Fever in Dire Dawa Administration.
The Dire Dawa Administration Health Bureau Head, Lemlem Bezabeh, told ENA that an outbreak of Dengue Fever has been reported every year and 87 samples have been sent to the Public Health Institute this year.
W/ro Lemlem added that since Dengue Fever is highly contagious and deadly, the Community and agencies such as the Sanitation and Beauty Agency should work together to clean up the area and eradicate the Disease and work together to prevent the spread of the disease.She said the Mosquito Net should be used for the purpose of this year, as it has reached all families in both urban and rural areas.
According to W/ro Lemlem, the number of Deaths due to Covid-19 is increasing in our Administration and as of this writing, more than 100 people have been seriously ill and passed away, thus the Death toll is worsening. She said the Community should not be able to afford the cost of treatment and should buy 3-10 birr Mask to protect themselves and others from the Corona Virus Pandemic.
In particular, due to the increasing number of Covid 19 Patients, the spread of Covid is increasing due to the negligence of the Patients who are being housed in their homes and the fact that they do not have a proper Address, W/ro Lemlem Bezabih stressed.
