Kiya Jamal has a vision to make a name for himself& his Country

Kia Jamal, a participant in the World Championships, said he has a vision to make a name for himself as a professional cyclist.

Cycling is one of the most popular sports in our country, Ethiopia.Apart from our country, it has been possible to produce athletes who have made a name for our country Ethiopia by cycling in Africa and the world.Kiya Jamal is one of them. Kiya is the son of Jamal Rogora, a veteran cyclist who represented his country at the Moscow Olympics.

The reason for Kiyato starting cycling is due to his Father and at the club level he is currently competing for the Dire Dawa Police Sports Club; showing his good performance at Adama national Championships in the year 2013e.c, he was able to participate on the Continental competition hosted by Egypt.Kiya Jamal said he had a good performance in the African Championships in Egypt.

According to his result against Egypt, he represented his country Ethiopia at the 100th World Championships in Belgium. Apart from participating in the tournament, he has achieved better results than other countries representing Africa under the age of 19.

Kiya Jamal thanked the Ethiopian Cycling Federation for helping him to compete in Belgium and said he hopes to become a professional cyclist in the future.

His mother, Mrs Fitsum, said that she has been supporting him in various ways during his training and during competitions, and she recommended that other Parents should also support their children to be successful in Sports.
