Speaking on the occasion, Dire Dawa Administration Mayor, Kedir Juhar thanked the council for its support and said it is the duty and responsibility of all citizens to prevent disasters in the country.
According to the Dire Dawa Administration, various sections of the society are supporting the internallydisplaced people (IDPs) as well as the Defense Forces. He went on to say that this support should be strengthened.

50 quintals of rice is estimated at Birr 160,000
Dates (Temir) 250 cartons valued at 133,000 birr
Cooking Oil 15 cartons worth 40,000birr
Clothing is estimated at more than 500 Sacks worth 5,000,000 birr
According to the council, the total is over 5,333,000.
