The Dire Dawa administration has given capacity building training for school science, technology and innovation clubs coordinators and representatives for organizations working in innovation.
Giving opening speech, Ato Fuad Suge, Head for Mayor’s office and cabinet affairs, stated that it is prudent to continually build capacity for innovation in order to make possible the development of the country.
The Dire Dawa Administration Science, Technology and Innovation Directorate Director, Ato Harun Abdurahman, on his part explained that as long as schools are basis for science, technology and innovation, due attention should be given to them and capacity building must be given to school clubs coordinators continually. Doing this will help excel in Innovation in order to make possible the nation’s development and help the society utilize the produces.
During the capacity training session, a study which shows the role of science, Technology and innovation for the world’s civilization as well as the current development status of nations in terms of science, technology and innovation was presented and discussed.
