The Administration vows to solve lack of Good governance.

The Dire Dawa Administration land development and management bureau vowed to solve lack of good governance issues which have been being created in relation to land ownership, land preparation and development. The bureau is trying to take back lands which had been given to investors but not prepared and utilized for the promised purpose. These lands are now being registered back in to Land bank.
Ato Gebeyehu Tilahun, Head for Dire Dawa Administration land development and management bureau, explained that though various tasks have previously been done, there are still complaints in relation to land preparation and transfer. Thus the bureau is trying its best to solve complaints by preparing land and transferring to the developers by allocating enough budget and devoting attention.
Ato Gebeyehu added that some 135 Hectare of Land which had been put idle by investors for long time are now taken back by the bureau and transferred to those investors who are ready to utlize and create job opportunities to the Administration residents.
Having prepared some 46 Hectare of Land for Manufacturing and social sectors, the bureau is calling for the Dire Dawa born Diasporas to come and invest in dire dawa. For this to happen, the bureau is ready to support investors in various dimensions, Ato Gebeyehu Tilahun stated. In doing so, the investors are supposed to produce goods and services in the country that have previously been imported.
