The International Tourism Day will be celebrated in Dire Dawa Administration for three consecutive days starting from September 14, 2021 under the motto “Tourism for Inclusive Growth “.
Dire Dawa Administration Culture and Tourism Office Head, Murad Bedewi, said the event, organized by the World Tourism Organization on September 27, is aimed at raising awareness among the international community on the benefit of Tourism.
It was said that this year’stheme, “Tourism for Inclusive Growth”, is intended to revitalize the sector and restore the sector from the Covid-19 devastation.
As a result, Dire Dawa is a victim of the Covid 19 Pandemic. Culture and Tourism Office Head, Murad Bedewi said it is to enhance and stimulate the economic and social benefits of the sector.
Among the tasks prepared by the program
1. September 14, 2021 from 12:30 p.m.in the morningSanitation campaign and seedling planting program involving Dire Dawa Artists.
2. September 14-2021 Bicycle Riding from 9a.m. in the Morning.
3. A Panel Discussion and Art evening focusing on improving the service delivery of Tourism service providers in Dire Dawa starting at 8:30 am in the Morning on September 15, 2021.
4. It is stated that an Urban Attraction and Train Tour program will be held and a Thanksgiving and Recognition Program will be held at the end of the program.
