    The Dire Dawa Administration Women and Children’s Affairs Bureau, Women’s Participation and Gender Dissemination Directorate in collaboration with Dire Dawa University Women and Youth HIV / AIDS and Special Needs Directorate have held a Discussion Forumin Dire Dawa University onDrug Abuse in the Community where Students dwell.
    Fatum Mustafa, head of the Dire Dawa Administration’s Women and Children’s Affairs Bureau, said the number of drug users has increased significantly in Dire Dawa.
    In particular, the number of Drug users in Dire Dawa Administration has increased significantly in High Schools and Secondary Schools, said W/roFatum Mustafa; the office will play its part, she confirmed.
    Dr. Magersa Qasim,Dire Dawa University Vice president and representative of University President, on his part said that although the University is working with the Dire Dawa Administration Women and Children’s Affairs Bureau and various Stake Holders to address this serious problem, it is advisable to work with the Community where most students are dwellingand the nearby community should play a significant roleto address the problem in a meaningful way.
