Participants of the Ethiopian Nations, Nationalities and Peoples’ Day said they are striving to unite the country by strengthening strong national unity.
The 16th Ethiopian Nations, Nationalities and Peoples’ Day celebrations started with Blood Donation by the host Dire Dawa.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Speaker of the House of Federation, ZeharaHumed said that donating Blood to the Heroic Army that are giving their life to save their country is a sign of strong national unity.
Representatives of Ethiopian nations, nationalities and peoples from all regions and city Administrations said the Blood donated will lay the foundation for Unity.
They also said that the Blood Donation is a gift of congratulations to the Ethiopian coalition Force led by Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed who are showing Triumphs.
The Speaker of the Dire Dawa Administration Council, W/ro Fetiya Aden, who attended the ceremony, said the celebration, which began with a Blood Donation, has a fundamental meaning to strengthen our National Unity and achieve the goal of transforming the country.
The audience, who witnessed the Blood Donation ceremony, said that the Donation of Blood by the representatives of all nationalities to the Defense Forces is crucial to strengthen our national unity and transforming the country.
To save the country we started with blood ties with our heroic army. They said blood ties with our heroic army will help strengthen the national liberation campaign and security mission.
Young IrnoyDoroch from South Omo stated that he is ready to play his part not only in donating Blood to the Defense Forces but also to go to Battle field to fight for Ethiopia.
The 16th Ethiopian Nations, Nationalities and Peoples’ Day is being celebrated in Dire Dawa with various Events and Symposiums; Federal and regional State Leaders have arrived in Dire Dawa to attend the event.
