The Dire Dawa Administration and people have donated 15 million birr worth in cash and in kind to the displaced people by the terrorist TPLFin the Amhara region.
The Dire Dawa Administration Mayor, Kedir Juhar, as well as city administration officials, Abba Gadaas and ugazs attended the event and handed over the support to the Regional State.
The President of Amhara Regional State, Dr. Yilkal Kefale thanked the Dire Dawa Administration and people for their support.
He said the Terrorist TPLF had not only looted and destroyed property in the region, but also committed Atrocities against Civilians.
He stated that Ethiopians living at home and abroad are making concerted efforts to alleviate the problem.
He called on all Ethiopians to continue to contribute to the Rehabilitation of Displaced Persons and the rebuilding of public and private institutions.
The Dire Dawa Administration Mayor Kedir Juhar, on his part, said the damage inflicted on the region by the Terrorist TPLF is the loss of Dire Dawa Administration and People.
He said the Dire Dawa Administration and people have provided Food Items and clothing worth 5 million and 10 million birr in cash to those displaced.
He said the support of the Administration and the People will be strengthened in the ongoing efforts to rehabilitate those affected by the Terrorist TPLF.
