    It is stated that the upcoming baptismal celebration will be celebrated with great pomp and ceremony in Dire Dawa.
    In connection with the celebration, the Mayor of the Administration, Ato Kedir Juhar and Commissioner Alemu Magra held a joint discussion with the Orthodox Tewahedo Fathers.
    The Dire Dawa Mayor Kedir Jawar, who attended the joint prayer and blessing ceremony, said the baptism ceremony, will be celebrated not only by the followers of the Orthodox Tewahedo Christians in Dire Dawa but also by other Dwellers of the Administration.The mayor said it is a holiday in which members of other faiths contribute to and celebrate the long-held Dire Dawa values of solidarity.The Mayor stated the Administration is undertaking various activities to ensure the peaceful celebration of this year’s Epiphany; He said the people and the entire Administration should play their part in the peace process by protecting themselves from the conspiracies and divisive ideas of the forces that seek to disrupt our peace and provoke Civil Strife.
    The church leaders and religious leaders who attended the meeting thanked the Administration and the Dire Dawa Administration’s Police for their work over the past two years; they said that they are contributing to the brightness and peace of the festival by giving various religious teachings to the believers so that this year’s festival will be celebrated in accordance with the Religious Rites.
    They called on the laity to accept and apply the messages of the church and the clergy, saying that they should take responsibility for their future baptism as before.Dire Dawa Police Commissioner Alemu Magra on his part said the people of Dire Dawa are a symbol of love and peace and they celebrate all holidays with each other as a family; He said all security forces have made the necessary preparations for the upcoming Epiphany celebration to be held peacefully without any disturbances or obstacles.
    The commissioner added that the Police will hold a special Equestrian event to ensure the peace and Tranquility of the Festival.At the end of the forum, a consensus was reached regarding the celebration and ideas and points were expressed:
    1. It is not possible to use or carry any banner other than the church and the Federal Flag in connection with the Festival.
    2. It is stated that anyPainting is prohibited in different parts of the city, roads, squares and similar places.
    The Dire Dawa Police will inform the public and the media in advance of the event regarding the details of the Pre-cautions and restrictions related to the event.
