The free health checkup and treatment volunteer service campaign with the theme of “Goodness for our health” was officially launched today in the presence of the Mayor of the Administration Ato Kedir Juhar and the government representative of Dire Dawa Administration Ato Yusuf Ibrahim as well as other senior leaders of the Administration and invited guests.
Ato Kedir Juhar, the mayor of the administration, who attended the opening program and officially launched the free health check-up and treatment campaign for the summer voluntary service, thanked the private and public health institutions that contributed greatly to support this charity campaign organized under the motto “Goodness for our health”. On behalf of the management, David expressed his heartfelt thanks to Mariam Gold Foundation, which brought health professionals and various medical resources to the service location.
Honorable Mayor also called on the residents of our administration to take advantage of the service by attending the campaign’s service points to ensure their health and to be able to maintain and monitor their health.
The head of the administration’s health bureau, W/ro Lemlem Bezabih, said that health work is essentially a work of virtue, and following this, we have completed our preparations to provide examination and treatment to 5,000 people in the Dire Dawa administration, as well as the free medical service that was started nationwide under the guiding principle of “virtue for our health.” .
In this campaign, in cooperation with the government and non-governmental institutions, we will collect medical supplies and allocate health professionals for a week to check for major diseases. She said that they can be examined by attending the examination centers set up in Leghar/Ethio-Djibouti Railway and SabianSaido Station.
The head does not hold back. The work of renovating the houses of poor residents and providing basic household items will be done.
