The construction of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam has broken the spirit of impossibility

    A second panel discussion on the second round of the Grand Renaissance Dam was organized by Dire Dawa University.
    Since the construction of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam was realized, all the people of our country have been working in various fields by sacrificing their energy, knowledge, resources, time and standing together for the construction of the dam.
    A one-day panel discussion organized by Dire Dawa University was held in connection with the second round water filling of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam. Speaking at the opening of the panel, Dr. Ubah Adam, President of Dire Dawa University, recalled that Ethiopia had failed in its efforts to construct the dam on the Nile River so far. But, this generation is able to make it realize and the university is trying to contribute its share; today’s panel discussion is one of it.
    The Deputy Mayor of Dire Dawa, Mohamed Buh, said the construction of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam has made a huge impression on the people of Ethiopia, both at home and abroad.
    State Minister of Science and Higher Education, Prof. Afework Kasu on his part said the people and government Ethiopia should work hard for the construction of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam in order to make Ethiopia benefit from its own source of Water.
    Dr. AregawiBerhe, Director General of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam Public Coordinating Office, said that the Europeans and Americaare concerned about the disintegration of Ethiopians beyond the construction of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam. Hence, Ethiopian are standing firmly and showing unity through working hard on theGrand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam.
    The panel discussion was also attended by senior government officials and various university scholars, religious leaders and elders as well as invited guests. Alongside the Panel Discussion, Blood Donation and Tree planting program was also conducted.
