W/ro Lemlem Bezabih, head of the Dire Dawa Administration Health Bureau, said all citizens should do their part to curb the rapidly spreading Covid 19 Delta strain.
W/ro Lemlem said the prevalence of Covid 19 in Dire Dawa Administration has been alarming in recent times, adding that 20 percent of the people tested daily are infected with the Pandemic virus.
The head of the Bureau said Meskel/Demera is a Religious Holiday that is attended by a large number of parishioners and could create a favorable environment for the expansion of Covid 19 Pandemic thus every should take care of her/himself and others from this deadly virus during the celebration moments.
Lemlem Bezabihexplained that the Bureau is working in coordination with all religious institutions, noting that religious leaders are making a significant contribution to the prevention of the disease.
W/ro Lemlem called on the security forces, law enforcement and volunteers should fulfill their responsibilities by alerting the Gathering during the celebration times.
Finally, she conveyed her best wishes to all the people of the Church on the occasion of the Feast of the Finding of the True Cross.
