According to the Ministry of Education, the Dire Dawa Administration Education Bureau has accepted the national invitation to close public schools from Hidar27 to Tahisas 3, 2014e.c, and to engage all High Schools in various charitable activities, ranging from harvesting of those families whose relatives are at War front in both urban and rural areas
The students of Legehare Primary and Secondary School will also be there for those who have been displaced by the war and for the heroic National Defense Forces; Teachers and administrators have donated over 1.2 million birr worth of clothing, food and snacks, and cattle.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Dire Dawa Administration Education Bureau Head, W/ro Muluka Mohammed, said that in particular, Teachers used to support the heroic members of the Defense Forces in their past salaries. “We are happy with the food and snacks and the support of the National Defense Forces,” said Muluka Mohammed.
“Everybody should work hard to defeat the enemy’s conspiracy by serving the community honestly and sincerely,” W/ro Muluka Mohammed stressed.
DerejeTsegaye, Deputy Chairperson of the Dire Dawa Administration Education Bureau, thanked Legehare Primary and Secondary School for its support to the Defense Forces and our displaced people following the call.
It was also learned that Dire Dawa administration Residents, Students, Teachers and locals are coming to the East Command Referral Hospital in the Administration to provide various support.
Hamza Ahmed, Director of Legehare Primary and Secondary School, said they have been able to show their support for the heroic Defense Force and mobilize support to fulfill their civic Duty.
