The government has called on the Diaspora community in Dire Dawa to accept the Dire Dawa Diaspora community.
Dire Dawa Administration Trade, Industry and Investment Bureau Head, Harbi Buh, said the government is working to recognize Ethiopians living abroad and those of Ethiopian descent who are trying to withstand the pressure of Western governments.
Banks, the private sector and civic charities will be involved in in an event which will be arranged during the coming of the Diaspora.
Abel Asheber, Director of the Diaspora Affairs Coordination Directorate of the Dire Dawa Administration Office, said that the committee is working with the relevant institutions to prepare the program.
Regarding the Dire Dawa Diaspora, the Dire Dawa Administration is working in collaboration with the relevant institutions to identify the investment and development opportunities in the city and benefit the city.
As per the Invitation of our Prime Minister, Dr. Abiy Ahmed, about a thousand Dire Dawa Diaspora members are expected to cometo the City of Dire Dawa.
