‘Gohbetoch’ Bank SC recently established its first bank in Addis Ababa in October 2014e.c with the approval of 1.056 billion birr paid up capital from the National Bank.
The first branch of Dire Dawa Bank was officially opened today at the Sabian Bridge Cafe Building in the presence of Deputy Mayor Harbi Buh and other Senior officials.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Mayor of Dire Dawa Administration, Harbi Buh, said the housing shortage is one of the major problems facing the Administration.
He said the Administration will continue to support the housing sector in all its efforts to alleviate the housing problems.
Deputy Mayor of Dire Dawa Administration mentioned that one of the 10 years Plan of the Administration is alleviating Housing problem; thus along with building and handing over Houses to Dweller by itself,the Administration will support ‘Goh Betoch’ Bankits efforts to address the housing problems.
Getahun Nana, Chairman of the Board of ‘Goh Betoch’ Bank, on his part said that the housing problems in the country have shown that 400,000 houses need to be built every year.
He said he is confident that the bank will continue to support the Administration in its efforts to address the housing problems.
