The Dire Dawa Administration Council has reviewed the Urban Construction and Municipal Affairs Standing Committee Land Development and Management Bureau, Water and Sewerage Authority.
The Standing Committee on Land Development and Management Bureau reviewed the Bureau’s activities over the past 3 months and 60 days and said the Bureau’s performance is encouraging. Next, the Bureau will work with the kebeles on the citizens who have not received a Map.
The Standing Committee also reviewed the Water and Sewerage Authority’s assessment of housing for Resettled Dwellers, construction of communal toilets, drilling of wells, and construction of pipelines.
The Authority informed the Standing Committee that the drilling of the well is being disrupted due to the expansion of Industry and the problem of excavation of Sites.
The Standing Committee noted the problem and directed the Authority to focus on water supply and water quality.
According to information from the Standing Committee, it will continue in the coming days.
