1st six months plan implementation was reported and evaluated.
Trade Industry and Investment Bureau, Agriculture and Water Mine and Energy Bureau, Construction Bureau, Land Development and management bureau, Public service bureau, Human Resource Bureau, and Government communication Affairs Bureau presented their six months plan implementation and evaluated the progress. Each bureau’s plan implementation was evaluated and given future directions accordingly.
As per the evaluation, Trade Industry and Investment Bureau was commented and given home work to do better on investment expansion and job opportunity creation. Specially, Job Opportunity creation was seen weak in the Bureau.
In relation to Land development and management Bureau, it was commented that works should be done in line with Guidelines and Regulations; not doing this results in Ethical problems such as Compensation payment problems. Hence, the Bureau was requested to alleviate the said problems.
It was also commented that Government Communication Bureau has done good in creating conducive work environment; though there is more to be done in information dissemination platforms.
In this regard, it was suggested that information should be disseminated via the languages spoken in the Administration – Amharic, A/Oromo and Somali. In addition to this, Mass media should be an area of job opportunity creation. Public service Bureau on its part was also evaluated.
Accordingly, all Public Service organizations in the Administration should be studied in terms of their service delivery system and all necessary inputs and subsidies shall be delivered for them to do better.
Employee assignment and recruitment process was commented to be improved and more should be done in the Bureau. Health Bureau, Education Bureau and other Sectors are presenting the 1st six month plan implementation and being evaluated.
