Dire Dawa Administration has nominated its representatives for the upcoming 6th national election which is scheduled to be held in May 2021. The Administration notified representatives for the Federal House of People Representative, Administration and Kebele Councils.
The representatives for the Federal House of People Representative, Administration and Kebele Councils were based on the criteria set by the concerned body and on the basis of urban and rural Dwellers representation. Accordingly, 2 nominees for the Federal House of People Representative, 189 Nominees for City Council and 300 Nominees for each Kebele Council were nominated, evaluated, and approved by the Prosperity Party Leaders and coordinators both at Administration and Kebele Levels.
Explaining about overall process of the nomination in the presence of the three council members, Ato Mebrate Gebreyes, Head for Dire Dawa Prosperity Party said that the Nomination gave especial attention for the Youth and took in to account Women’s representation. High level Party Leaders, Bureau Heads, League Leaders as well as Leaders from the city and Rural Kebels were present in the final approval of nominated representatives.
