The Bureau of Land Development and Management has today held a lottery to hand over the land due to individuals who have been living in Dire Dawa for many years for the development of the government.
During the handover ceremony, the head of the administration’s land development and management bureau, GebeyehuTilahun, said that the draw held today was due to the complaints brought from the families that the compensation they got for the land they were displaced from was not sufficient and for that reason they resettled on the land; because of this the investor who won the bid was not able to start working the investment works.
