There are two types of health insurance that were introduced by the government a few years ago to fill the health and financial gap in the country.
Social health insurance engaged in the formal economy; Dire Dawa Administration Health Insurance Branch Manager, DerejeAbebe, said the Dire Dawa administration has started providing community-based services to non-salaried communities in December, but the performance is low.

Speaking on the occasion, Dire Dawa Prosperity Party Public Relations and Civic Associations Head, Abdo Ali, said that from today, the participants should use mobilization, community discussion and all available media to work for the benefit of the program.
Stakeholders who participated in the discussion also said that the institution should work closely with stakeholders to fulfill the responsibilities of the service by examining the gaps and working with the stakeholders.
Media, kebele communication heads and network chairpersons were present at the forum organized by the Dire Dawa Health Insurance Branch today.
